About Tiruchirappalli - Trichy City

Tiruchirappalli  (previously Trichinopoly in English), also known as Trichy or Tiruchy,  Tiruchirappalli district's administrative center, is a significant Tier II city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The city is praised for being the most livable, cleanest, and fifth-safest city for women in India. It is also the cleanest city in Tamil Nadu.  Both the city and the metropolitan agglomeration are the fourth largest in the state.

Tiruchirappalli is a city in Tamil Nadu state that is 322 kilometres (200 miles) south of Chennai and 374 kilometres (232 miles) north of Kanyakumari. The Kaveri river splits in two, forming the Cauvery Delta, 16 kilometres (9.9 miles) west of the city.
