Beautiful tiny hill near Trichy, near Thuraiyur. You can either drive or walk up the hill. There are around 1500 steps. A Govindaraja Perumal Temple may be seen on the main road, near the Arch and the entrance. Both of these temples are quite old, and they are thought to have been erected by King Karigal Cholan. Although the exact year is unknown, it is thought to have been built in the 15th century. The famous Karupanna Swamy temple and the historic Ilanda Tree are also nearby (“Indian Jujube”).
This is the very famous temple in the region “Prasanna Venkachalapathi Temple”. This temple is also called “South Tirupathi” (Then Tirupathi). Whoever not able to visit Tirupathi due to any reasons, can visit this temple and worship the lord. It is believed that they get all blessings from Lord.
